Steak Fry Benefits Student Scholarships

One of the groups benefitting from this past weekend’s Fondue Fest in downtown Fond du Lac was the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Benevolent Association. They were selling their famous rib-eye steak sandwiches. Sheriff’s Sergeant Paul Rottscholl says they have quite a few charitable efforts going on throughout the year. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas season they donated to several food pantries and adopted three or four families. But the giving didn’t stop there. There were donations to the Police Unity Tour, Salute the Troops, Free Spirit Riders, Special Olympics, Leadership Fond du Lac, the Humane Society, and the Trevor Casper Memorial. The steak fry last Saturday will benefit the five scholarships the Association awards each year.
