Stranded Boaters Rescued on Lake Winnebago

Two boaters were left stranded in Lake Winnebago after the wind carried away their disabled boat with two other people still on board Monday night. Winnebago County rescue crews responded to the report of people in the water near Kimberly Point around 5:30pm. Two people went into the water to figure out what was causing issues with the sail and motor – when boat drifted away. Crews were able to locate the pair and pull them from the water. The boat was later towed to the docks at Riverside Park in Neenah. All four people, including a child on the boat, were doing just fine.
