Suit Filed Against City And Humane Society In Puppy Case

31-Jul-2013

The 32-year-old Fond du Lac woman suspected of not providing enough water and shelter to 10 yellow lab puppies has filed a civil suit against the City and the Humane Society. Stacy Checolinski made an initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court yesterday and was charged with 20 misdemeanor counts. A $1,000 signature bond was set.  Meanwhile she filed the civil suit last Wednesday. The suit claims four of the ten puppies had already been sold. The puppies were rescued on July 8th after a neighbor heard them barking. It was hot and humid and they were in a metal dog kennel in the backyard covered with a tarp. There was no food or drinkable water they could get to. Checolinski told police she had a friend stop by to check on the puppies that morning because she had to go to work early. The suit also contends the puppies were taken without a search warrant and notification.

Here's an idea, maybe Ms. Checolinski should take responsibility for her actions. It's funny how her friend who was supposed to stop over is to blame, they posted pictures of the condition of those puppies, it is more than obvious who is to blame! The only civil suits that should be filed are against her by the people that have already paid for the puppies. As of now, if they really still want the puppy they should be allowed to go through the adoption process with the humane society like everyone else. I truly hope these puppies get some justice and a wonderful home that is far from Ms. Checolinski.

I don't think the whole story is out there.
The Humane Society is a racket.
I hope she wins. I believe there was no due process and her civil rights were unlawfully stepped on.

If they had not taken the puppies when they did , some of them would have been DEAD in those conditions. What would she have done if no one did anything and she came home and the puppies she already sold were dead because of her neglect, then what would she do?

The only racket I see is someone trying to make a profit from the puppies. Probably not the first time she is using puppies to make a living.

The FACT that there was no food or drinkable water available speaks volumes. The FACT that they were housed in a metal kennel in too hot conditions also tells anyone with common sense that these animals were NOT being well taken care of. The Humane Society was doing its job in removing these puppies from this inhumane situation.

The "owner" of these puppies has some records on CCAP. Worth taking a look to reveal the true character of Ms. Checolinski. Hoping these puppies end up in loving homes.

Maybe Ms Checolinski should be put in a kennel with a tarp over it with poopy water and she how well she fairs

If it was so hot in the kennel, why were the wet puppies shivering?
Did it really take the HS 24 hours for pups to get looked at by a vet?
Where does it say they had no food.
The pups were crapping in their water.

A picture says a thousand words...and THAT cage contained more filth then just a few hours worth....and WHERE was the mama...were they weaned already? She went into "breeding" for the $$, obviously...but it looked no better then a puppy mill.

My small animals class feels that we are against this "woman". She is a lying, cheating, monstrous beast that has no sympathy for poor helpless dogs. She is such a jerk and nobody should ever like her again. This "woman" is such an idiot and even her excuses aren't good enough to change my mind about these puppies. I would like to stick her in a kennel and put her in the puppies' position.
