Suspect in Madison Attempted Homicide Case Arrested in FDL County

A 37-year-old man that is a suspect in an attempted homicide case in Madison was taken into custody in Fond du Lac County this (Thursday) morning. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a suspicious person in the area of Mulletview Road and Mushroom Road just before 9 am. The caller reported the man was running through a field on private property. Deputies made contact with the man around 9:20 am near the intersection of County Highway B and Mushroom Road where he was taken into custody. The man was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail and turned over to detectives from the Madison Police Department. He is a suspect in an attempted homicide stabbing in the Madison area that is being investigated. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect has no known ties to the area and that the public is not in danger. It is believed he was traveling through the area in a stolen car when it ran out of gas. The suspicious person call came in as the suspect was seen running from the stolen car, which was recovered at the scene of the original call.
