Thin Blue Line Wristbands

A Fond du Lac church group is raising money and honoring law enforcement officers through the sale of Thin Blue Line wristbands. Pastor Jeff Blain of Ascension Lutheran Church says some of their students wanted to show gratitude to local law enforcement. He says the idea came from their 5th and 6th graders who they call their Kids of God. He says Thin Blue Line is a reference to the men and women of law enforcement that keep us protected at the risk of putting their own lives on the line. He says they would like people to wear the wristbands for 140 straight days. He says that was the number of officers who died in the line of duty last year. They are hoping for at least a 50 cent donation for each wristband. Any money that might be made will go to the group COPS or Concerns of Police Survivors. Wristbands are available at the church, KFIZ, Agnesian Gift Shop, Van Horn Hyundai, Fox Valley Savings Bank, Faro’s Restaurant, and the Fond du Lac Senior Center.
