Threat at Waupun High School

Authorities
say a 15 year old Waupun student posted a threat on social media early Tuesday
morning that led to an increased police presence at district schools today. The
Dodge County Sheriff’s Department says a City of Waupun police officer reported the threat on
the social media app SnapChat just before 12:30 am. An investigation found the
threat did take place, but the means to carry it out were not substantiated. The
15 year old was located at home and was interviewed about the threat. The student
is not allowed on school grounds until further notice. Dodge County Sheriff’s
officials is assuring the public they are safe and that it is safe to send
students to school. Waupun Police along with the Dodge County Sheriff’s office
are continuing to investigate the threat.
