Three Arrested After High Speed Pursuit

Three young men were taken into custody after a high speed pursuit in Dodge and Fond du Lac Counties late Tuesday morning. State Patrol Sergeant Andrew Hyer says it started when a trooper in an unmarked car tried to pull over a car for speeding on Highway 49. The suspect’s vehicle traveled up I-41 into Fond du Lac County and at times was on Highway 151, Fond du Lac County Highway B, Highway 175 back on Highway 49 and ended up in Brownsville. Eventually all three men were taken into custody the last at gunpoint when he was found lying near the deck of a home. Sergeant Hyer says the suspect’s vehicle was driving recklessly and at fast speeds at times. He says they ran some stop signs and at one point speeds reached over 100 miles an hour.  At the end of the pursuit one man was taken into custody at the car and two others fled on foot, but were soon captured. They were taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail. No one was injured during the chase. Dodge and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Departments, the State Patrol and Brownsville Police were involved in the pursuit.
