Three Hurt In Accident Near Country USA Grounds

The State Patrol has released the names of the three people who were injured when they were struck by a pickup truck near the Country USA grounds Tuesday night. Theda-Star helicopter flew  23-year-old Brian Mancl of Wautoma to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center in Neenah with life-threatening injuries. Twenty-year-old Bobbie Kay Bush of Eureka and 22-year-old James Neitzel of Neshkoro were both taken to Mercy Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.  The 17-year-old Oshkosh man driving the pickup truck wasn’t hurt. The accident happened at 10:05 p.m.

Oshkosh Police say three people likely walking back from the County USA music festival were struck by a pickup truck just after 10 p.m. last night. The three suffered serious injuries. Police say Theda-Star helicopter flew a 23-year-old Waushara County man to Theda Clark with life-threatening injuries. A 20-year-old Winnebago County woman and 22-year-old Marquette County man were taken by ambulance to local hospitals. The mishap occurred on South Washburn Road, which is just north of Ford Festival Park.
