Three New Full-Time Deputy Positions Approved

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office can now plan for the addition of three more full-time patrol deputies, following a unanimous vote in support from the county board last night. Sheriff Mick Fink and Chief Deputy Ryan Waldschmidt explain that the move will allow them to have more deputies on the road, even with deputies making transports around the county – and will allow for them to staff future security checkpoints around the City/County Government Center. Fink also estimates that it has been about twenty years since a new patrol deputy position has been added to the department. Those three positions will be created, effective January 6th.
