Top Dogs Unveiled By Lottery

The Wisconsin Lottery, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Humane Society Friday unveiled five new Top Dog instant scratch tickets.  Each $2 Top Dog scratch ticket features a special furry friend, and the game offers a top prize of $8,000.  Tickets are available now throughout Wisconsin at Lottery retailers. Earlier this year, the Lottery received 2,375 submissions in the Top Dog contest and those with the most votes were chosen as the winners.  The pet owners received a $100 VISA gift card, a framed sample Lottery ticket featuring their pooch, and $20 worth of Top Dog instant scratch tickets.  In order the top vote getters were Baxter (above) from Hartford (2,597 votes), Willy of Waterford (2,453), Daisy Duke of Cedarburg (2,303), Max of Glendale (1,807), and Annabelle of Racine (1,235 votes). Milwaukee Brewers’ mascot “Hank, The Ballpark Pup” served as the ambassador of the ticket launch event, which was also a donation drive for the Wisconsin Humane Society.  In addition, the Milwaukee Brewers presented a check for $1,000 on the Lottery’s behalf to the Humane Society, the state’s largest shelter.
