Town Of West Bend House Fire

Washington County Sheriff’s officials say fire caused about $200,000 in damage to a home in the Town of West Bend Saturday night. The fire at 4049 Lake Drive came in as a chimney fire, but may have gotten up into the walls. When a Sheriff’s deputy arrived there was heavy smoke coming from the roof line and flames were around the chimney area. The blaze was quickly brought under control, but there was significant fire, smoke and water damage. Seven fire departments responded to the scene. The cause is still under investigation.
