Transgender Bathroom Rights Could Become An Issue

Which restroom transgenders use hasn’t been an issue in the Fond du Lac School District, but Superintendent Jim Sebert says it could become a federal and state issue. He says President Trump’s administration is planning to address the issue and there may be another effort at the state level. He says it is in a holding pattern right now and at the state level it has been discussed and no one knows if it might become part of the state budget discussion or a separate bill. He says it hasn’t been an issue in the school district. He says they do have kids that identify as transgender and they have worked with them. He says they are comfortable and the kids and families have been comfortable with what has been done to date. He says kids understand when it comes to that type of issue. Sebert says it is the adults that have a harder time adapting to societal change.
