Truesdale Named FDL Young Professional Of The Year

(Fond du Lac)-Joe Truesdale has been named Fond du Lac’s 2017 Young Professional of the Year by the Young Professionals of Fond du Lac (YPF). The announcement was made during the organization’s annual meeting on Thursday, January 18 at the Holiday Inn in Fond du Lac.

“To say that Joe is a young professional of the highest caliber in the Fond du Lac community is an understatement,” said one of his nominators. As Marketing Account Manager at wisnet.com, he approaches his daily life and career with a high level of passion, integrity and wisdom. He has also served YPF as President in 2016, is a current member of their board of directors, marketing committee, and YPWeek committee, and volunteers for several events including IdeaCamp, Kickin’ for a Cause, Amazing Race and more. He has also represented YPF in the state-wide 72 initiative that seeks collaboration across all 72 counties in Wisconsin. In addition to his involvement with YPF, Truesdale also gives his time as an organizer and emcee for TEDxFondduLac, organizer and volunteer for Pop-Up Fond du Lac, board member of the Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac and many other community initiatives. He was recognized as a 2016 Envision Greater Fond du Lac “Volunteer of the Year.”

“I’ve fallen in love with the Fond du Lac community and can’t wait to see how we will continue to grow,” said Joe Truesdale. “Our community is so supportive and seeing what all of the people in the organization accomplish is so inspiring. It’s truly humbling to be recognized alongside the Future 5 winners and I can’t say thank you enough to YPF and the people who make it awesome.”

The Young Professional of the Year is chosen from the Future 5 award recipients, who are nominated as outstanding members in the industry and our community. In addition to Truesdale, other Future 5 Award recipients included: Grace Bruins, Horicon Bank; David Michalkiewicz, Fond du Lac School District; Katie Reinke, Agnesian HealthCare; and Sara Wild, Michels Corporation.
