Twilight Flight Fest At AirVenture

Something new this year at EAA AirVenture is the Twilight Flight Fest. Dick Knapinski of EAA says tonight and tomorrow night after the afternoon air show the public can watch different forms of flight during the twilight hours in the Fun Fly Zone. He says it is down at the Ultra Light strip at the south end. It will involve the powered parachutes, paraglider teams, short take-off and landing aircraft and then radio-controlled planes will be lighted and flying. He says the radio-controlled model planes are good sized. He says they have a five to six foot wingspan, which people should be able to see pretty well. He says the Twilight Flight Fest is something new and exciting for AirVenture.
