Two Arrested After Chase in FDL County

Two people were
arrested after a high speed chase in part of Fond du Lac County
early this (Thursday) morning. The Fond du Lac
County Sheriff’s Office first tried to
stop the car for speeding on Highway 151 near County Highway D in the Town of Fond du Lac around 1:43
AM. The driver failed to stop and continued south on 151 at speeds of 115 miles
per hour. The driver exited the highway and continued through the City of Waupun and onto Highway 49, where he eventually missed a
turn and became stuck in a snowbank in the Town of Brandon. The driver, a 26-year-old man from Illinois, was arrested
for 1st offense OWI, resisting, felony fleeing, multiple drug
charges and multiple moving violations. He also had a warrant from Fond du Lac County for possession of cocaine. A
34-year-old man from Milwaukee
was the passenger in the car, he was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia
and resisting/obstructing. The suspect’s vehicle had been involved in prior
chases in both Fond du Lac County and Illinois
over the past few months.
