Two Cited During School Search

Two Fond du Lac High School students were cited for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession during a search of vehicles in the high school parking lot Wednesday morning. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says there may be one more referral as a result of the routine search of the high school and its parking lot. Klein says no drugs were found at the high school or the three middle schools they used K9 teams to search. Students were asked to shelter in place in their classrooms during the search. High School Principal Michelle Hagen says, “We are very proud no controlled substances were found in the high school.” The effort done in partnership with the police department was part of the School District’s Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs prevention strategies.
