Two Dead In Brandon Shooting

06-Mar-2014

Two men are dead in a shooting in the Village of Brandon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say they got a call to a trailer on West Bowen Street across from the Brandon Elementary and Middle Schools at 5:12 p.m.Wednesday.  Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mike Nolan stresses there is no rick to the public. Officials did not say if it was a murder-suicide. The shooting was called in by a woman who was in the trailer and reportedly witnessed it. In addition to the Sheriff’s Department, Brandon Police and Lifestar ambulance responded to the scene.

Two dead from shooting in Brandon. Sounds like a pretty big story. Yet it's nowhere to be found in the FdL reporter website. Thanks KFIZ! At least somebody reports on the news around here.

Reporter posted the story less that 2 hours after the incident. And what exactly is the significance of the Media's absolute need to place the shooting "Right across the street from a school"? Were they warning people that bullets could be in orbit around the area when the school re-oppened 14 hours later? Or is it necessary in EVERY shooting to mention the distance from a school. Like 2 and 3 miles away when it happened in FDL recently? Just for 'effect'.....
