Two FDL Men Sentenced To Prison

Fond du Lac County Judge Peter Grimm sentenced two Fond du Lac men to prison this week for two different crimes. Seventeen-year-old Jacob Soyk was sentenced to 9 years in prison and 11 years of extended supervision for an armed robbery that occurred last December. He threatened a former neighbor with a handgun robbing the man of his wallet and $8 after the victim had already given him $20 when Soyk shared his hard luck story.

Judge Grimm sentenced 26-year-old Kendall Ships to 3 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision for cocaine trafficking. Ships sold crack cocaine to and undercover officer on three separate occasions in March and April of last year. Ships got an additional year in jail on drunken driving and hit and run charges.
