Two Flee The Scene After Dodge County Crash

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say two
men who fled from the scene of an accident were located within a couple hours of
the mishap Saturday afternoon. Twenty-seven-year-old Robert Wiedmeyer of
Oconommowoc was driving the pick up truck that went off County Highway P near
the intersection of O’Neil Road in the Town of of Ashippun. Wiedmeyer was on
work release from the Waukesha County Jail. When the truck went off the road it
vaulted and hit several trees about 9 feet off the ground before it fell to the
ground.and overturned. Wiedmeyer fled the scene on foot. A passenger in the
vehicle, 26-year-old Ryan Urhmann also of Oconomowoc, fled the scene too.
Flight for Life and Oconomowoc Police assisted in the search for the two men.
After they were found they were taken to Oconomowoc Hospital for treatment of
their injuries. Wiedmeyer was then released to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s
Department. Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
