Two Found Shot To Death In Winnebago County Home

Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say two people found dead in a home on Highway 91 Monday killed themselves in a double suicide. Circuit Court officials had deputies check the residence after Jean Walsh-Josephson failed to make a court appearance. Sheriff’s officials say it appears she and her husband Dewey Josephson planned the shootings and even wrote their own obituaries. Dewey Josephson shot his wife and then himself.  Walsh-Josephson was suspected of stealing more than $1.5 million from elderly clients.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting deaths of two people found at a home on State Highway 91 Monday morning. Officials say the County Circuit Court had requested the Sheriff’s Office to check on the welfare of a person who had failed to show up for a court appearance. Two people were found in the home dead of gunshot wounds. One was the person that missed their court appearance. The Sheriff’s Office says the public is not in danger.
