Two Highway Projects Begin in FDL County Today

A pair of highway resurfacing projects begin in Fond du Lac
County this week. One project involves just under two miles of Highway 23 from
Rolling Meadows Drive in Fond du Lac to Townline Road in the Town of Lamartine.
Workers on that stretch of Highway 23 will resurface the highway, add left and
right turn lanes at the intersection with Esterbrook Road and add slotted left-turn
lanes and upgrade traffic signals at Rolling Meadows Drive. Traffic on Highway 23
will be detoured using Interstate 41 and Highway 26, with access maintained for
local traffic and emergency vehicles during the work. The $3.4 million project
is expected to finish by late November.

The second resurfacing project involves 5.6 miles of
Highway 67 from the Fond du Lac/Dodge County Line and Baumann Street in
Campbellsport. Workers there will be resurfacing the highway and making
improvements to culverts, guardrails, pavement marking and signage. Highway 67
will remain open during construction – with flagging operations being used. The
$2.4 million project is expected to finish in November.
