Two Hurt In FDL County Motorcycle Crash

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials have released the names of the two West Bend residents injured in a motorcycle versus pickup truck accident on County Highway F Sunday night. The motorcycle driver, 47-year-old Franklin Rose, was flown to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center where he is in serious condition. His passenger, 43-year-old Samantha Latz, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend where she was treated and released. Thirty-three-year-old Travis Ramthun of Plymouth was driving the pickup truck. He wasn’t injured. Ramthun did not yield the right of way and tried to turn north onto Vista Drive in front of Rose’s bike.

Two West Bend residents were seriously injured Sunday evening when a pickup truck turned in front of a motorcycle in the Town of Osceola. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say the crash happened on County Highway F at Vista Drive. The pickup truck was eastbound and failed to yield to the westbound motorcycle turning north onto Vista Drive. The bike hit the rear passenger side of the truck. Flight for Life flew the motorcycle operator a 47-year-old West Bend man to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center and his passenger, a 43-year-old West Bend woman, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. Both suffered serious injuries. The pickup truck driver, a 33-year-old Plymouth man, was not injured. The accident was reported just before 7 p.m.
