Two Hurt In Snowmobile Accidents
Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials reported two separate
snowmobile accidents Saturday with injuries. The first happened at 2 p.m. about
a half mile northeast of Wendt’s on Lake Winnebago. A 29-year-old Oakfiend man
was ejected from his sled after hitting an ice shove. He was taken back to shore
and worked on.

The second accident was reported at 6
p.m. on the Fox River west of Eureka in the Town of Rushford. A 54-year-old
Berlin man was ejected from his snowmobile and was hit by another snowmobile
that was trailing him. Oshkosh ambulance took both men to hospitals with
serious, but non-life threatening leg injuries.
