Two Injured After Calumet County Home Explosion

Two people are hurt after a home exploded in northern Calumet County. The owner was not home when the
blast happened in the Town of Harrison
around 8:00 Wednesday morning. Two women in nearby homes were injured – but the
injuries are not considered life threatening. Neighbors were evacuated and
officials shut off gas in the area. 

The home is being considered a loss, while
adjacent homes sustained structural damage. The cause of the explosion remains
under investigation. Some people reportedly heard the blast from as far away as
Appleton, Darboy, Wrightstown, Kaukauna, and Hilbert.
