Two Killed In Dodge County Accident
Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say two people were killed in a 4-vehicle collision on State Highway 33 about a half mile west of County Highway AY in the Town of Herman just before 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The accident involved a semi-tractor trailer and three passenger vehicles. Four people in an SUV were ejected during the accident. A woman in the SUV and a man in a pickup truck were killed. Flight for Life flew two of the occupants from the SUV a woman and child to a hospital in critical condition and a man in that vehicle was taken by ambulance to a hospital. The man driving the semi and a woman driving a passenger car weren’t injured. Investigators say the accident happened when the woman driving the SUV hit a tire on the semi while trying to pass it. The SUV then was struck by the pickup truck in the opposite lane and then another vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
