Two Killed In Dodge County Crash

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials have released the names of the two people killed in a three-vehicle accident on County Road R New Year’s Eve. Sixty-year-old Gloria Batzler of Watertown was driving a GMC Jimmy and 62-year-old Curtis Wolter of Hustisiford a Ford Ranger that crashed head-on. They were then hit by a third vehicle a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 53-year-old Rachel Jeske of Lebanon. Batzler and Wolter died at the scene. Jeske and two passengers; 55-year-old Kelly Jeske and 26-year-old Christa Fletcher were taken to Aurora Medical Center in Summit with non-life threatening injuries. The accident was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening.

Two people were killed in a three-vehicle crash in Dodge County on the final day of 2017. Sheriff’s officials say the collision between two SUVs and a pickup truck happened on County Road R. A GMC Jimmy heading east  struck a westbound Ford Ranger head on. A Chevrolet Trailblazer traveling west behind the Ford pickup then hit both vehicles. A woman driving the GMC Jimmy and a man driving the Ford Ranger died at the scene. The three people in the Chevy Trailblazer were taken to Aurora Medical Center in Summit with non-life threatening injuries. The accident in the Town of Emmet was reported shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday evening.
