Two Killed In Winnebago County Accident

Two people were killed when an SUV went off Winnebago County Highway T early Wednesday morning and hit a house. Sheriff’s officials say a 27-year-old Winneconne man driving a Ford Explorer was heading west on County Highway T and failed stop at a stop sign at the T-intersection with Larsen Road. The vehicle became airborne and came to rest in the kitchen of a home at 8103 County Highway T. The driver and his passenger, a 21-year-old Oshkosh woman, were both dead at the scene. The homeowner was not injured in the accident, which happened at 2:30 a.m. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Clayton-Winchester Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance Service, Oshkosh Fire Department and the Neenah-Menasha Fire Department.
