Unemployment Rate at Three-Percent or Lower for Eight Straight Months

The unemployment rate in Wisconsin has now remained at 3-percent or
lower for the last eight months in a row. The Department of Workforce
Development reports the unemployment rate stayed the same in September – right
at 3-percent. The state did lose 900 private sector jobs between August and
September, but was up nearly 36-thousand from the prior year. Before last year,
Wisconsin’s
unemployment rate never dropped below 3-percent, setting a record in April when
it dropped to 2.8.
