Unemployment Rate Up And Down For FDL
The unemployment rates for the City and County of Fond du Lac increased in January by about a half a percent from December. According to Federal Labor statistics both jobless rates were at 3.6 percent compared to 3.2 percent for the City and 3 percent for the County in December. But state officials also note that for metropolitan statistical areas, basically the County, Fond du Lac had the biggest decrease in the unemployment rate in the state compared to January of 2016. At that time the County had a 4.2 percent unemployment rate, so the rate is down six-tenths of a percent from that time.
