UW FDL Theater Production Earns Awards
She was selected as the result of her performance in the role of Rachel in the UW-Fond du Lac Theater Department’s recent production of “The Dream of the Burning Boy” by David West Read.
“The Dream of the Burning Boy” company has also been nominated for a certificate of merit for ensemble by KCACTF. This is the second award for the UW-Fond du Lac Theater Department. The first KCACTF ensemble certificate of merit was awarded for the university’s original adaptation of “Everyman” in 2007.
Professor Richard Gustin is director and producer of UW-Fond du Lac theater productions.
The Irene Ryan Scholarships provide recognition, honor and financial assistance to outstanding student performers wishing to pursue further education. These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the late Irene Ryan who is best remembered for her portrayal of the lovable and feisty "Granny" in “The Beverly Hillbillies.” The Irene Ryan Foundation awards 19 regional awards and two fellowships annually.
