UW System Regents Approve Out-of-State, Graduate Student Tuition Increase

UW-System regents are approving millions of dollars of
tuition increases for out-of-state and graduate students at UW-Madison over the
next two academic years.

The plan calls for raising non-resident undergraduate
tuition by just over $800 to generate an extra $16 million in revenue.
Increases in the university’s professional schools include bumping the School of Business tuition by nearly 10-percent
annually, which would bring in another $1.7 million. The plans also raise
tuition for resident medical doctor students and law students.

The regents
approved the increases unanimously without any discussion last week.
