Vandalism Spree In FDL

Fond du Lac Police took nearly a dozen reports of vandalism Monday. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says graffiti was spray-painted sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning on vehicles, buildings and signs. He says there were 11 incidents, 2 vehicles were damaged and the rest was on buildings and signs. He says several areas of the City were hit most of it was in the area of Western and Military, some was on Brooke Street near Division Street, and another area was hit on Marr near 10th and 11th Streets. He says some of the buildings spray-painted on included the old Wells Manufacturing site, former Casa Anna Cheese Store, the Warehouse Pub and the Green Dragon restaurant. Klein says some of the graffiti included gang signs, but it doesn’t appear the activity was gang-related. He says they are still having their street crime officers reach out to gang intelligence contacts throughout the Fox Valley to see if their were any similar incidents. Anyone who might have information about the vandalism is encouraged to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (920) 906-5555 or the Crime Alert number at 322-3740.
