Vehicle Chase Covers Over 25 Miles, Reaches Speeds of 90+

Two people were arrested following a high speed chase that started
in Fond du Lac County and spanned a total of 25 miles.

A news release says that around 1:30 Saturday morning, a
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy tried to stop a vehicle going 93 miles-per-hour
in a 70 mile-per-hour zone on Interstate 41 near County Highway Y in the Town
of Byron.

The driver did not stop and continued south on I-41 into
Washington County, where speeds increased to 105 miles-per-hour. Tire deflation
devices were deployed at several locations, but were unsuccessful in stopping
the car. The chase finally ended near Pioneer Road in Washington County where
deputies had another tire deflation device set up.

A 28-year-old woman from Green Bay was driving the car, she
was taken into custody for a felony charge of Knowingly Fleeing an Officer. A
27-year-old woman from Bonduel was the passenger. She was taken into custody for
resisting arrest, making threats to law enforcement, discharging bodily fluids
at a public safety worker and for several warrants.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin
State Patrol also assisted in the pursuit. No injuries or damage to property
was reported as a result of the chase.
