Vienna Beef Products Recalled due to Possible Metal Contamination

Chicago-based Vienna Beef is recalling just over 2,000 pounds of beef franks that may be contaminated with metal. The beef frank links were produced on May 2nd of 2019, and were shipped to food service locations in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. There have been no confirmed reports of illnesses or adverse reaction because of consuming the products. The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is concerned that some of the affected product may be in food service refrigerators or freezers. Any businesses that may have purchased the products are urged to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. Read more about the recalled products here.
