Waiting For A Piece Of The Ledge

Fond du Lac County Executive Al Buechel says the County is patiently waiting for property on the Ledge to become available for a County conservancy. He says they don’t have a willing seller at this time, but the property owners are interested in preserving it, which is also the County’s aim. He says it wouldn’t become a true County park, more of a conservancy people would be able to walk and hike through similar to Hobbs Woods. Buechel says the County has $500,000 set aside for the property including $60,000 from the sale of timber in the Calvary Marsh.
