Walker, Evers Pushing Different Ideas for Future Budget

Governor Scott Walker and Democratic challenger Tony Evers are pushing state budget proposals in efforts to gain the edge in their tight race for governor. Monday was the deadline for state agencies to submit requests for funding – and whoever is governor next year will use the requests as a starting point for their budget plan, which is supposed to be passed by the legislature by July 1st. Walker is boasting his plan for a tax credit for Wisconsin college graduates – while Evers is looking for a 10-percent funding increase for Wisconsin schools.
