Walker Urges State Senate to Pass Kimberly-Clark Incentives Package

Governor Scott Walker is calling for state senators to take immediate action and pass an incentives package before the end of the month – to keep at least one of two Kimberly-Clark plants open in the Fox Valley. The company announced back in January that it would close the Neenah nonwovens plant within 18 months – and is working on a timeframe to close the Cold Spring plant in Fox Crossing. The facilities employ about 600 people. A bill offering a $100 million incentive has stalled in the Senate, and the company has set a deadline of September 30th to decide on the future of the Fox Valley operations.
