The 38-year-old sex offender Washington County Sheriff’s officials have been looking for in the Towns of Kewaskum and Farmington since last weekend was taken into custody yesterday. The Sheriff’s Office got a cal yesterday morning about a burglary in the Town of Farmington. The caretaker for a home found a door kicked in and called authorities. Larry Arnold fled on foot when a deputy arrived. The deputy chased Arnold on foot. In a garage at a nearby residence Arnold asked a homeowner for a ride to town. He then fled into a heavily-wooded area. A coordinated foot search was conducted by deputes from the Fond du Lac, Sheboygan and Washington County Sheriff’s Departments and State Park Rangers. Arnold was found hiding under an old piece of metal about a half-mile from the burglary scene. He was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend to be treated for possible frostbite to his feet. He’s facing two burglary charges for yesterday’s burglary and one the day before and some outstanding felony warrants from Wood County.
