Waupun Homeowners Will See Reduction In Storm Water Utility Fee

Waupun home owners will be paying about a buck less a month to the City’s Storm Water Utility.  A recent audit of the utility revealed that some commercial properties were being undercharged and when adjustments were made, revenues increased creating a surplus. Residents will now be being paying $7-per month instead of $8 they had been paying. The rate change takes effect June 1st.  The utility is a taxing mechanism to fund construction and maintenance costs for the city’s storm sewers and water filtration ponds along with leaf collection activities and street sweeping.
