Waupun Lands First Soybean Crushing Facility in Wisconsin

The state’s first soybean crushing facility will be located in Waupun. Officials say the $150 million facility would create thirty-nine jobs and more than two-million dollars in annual payroll. If approved, construction would begin next year – with the facility to open in 2020. Plans would place it on a more than 65 acre site on the Waupun Industrial Park. Nearly seven-million bushels of beans were produced by farmers in Dodge and Fond du Lac counties last year. A public hearing for an air permit for the facility is set for June 28th
