Waupun Man Sentenced For Food Pantry Burglary

The 43-year-old Waupun man who stole cash and food from the Waupun Food Pantry last August was sentenced this week in Dodge County Court. Michael Fiedler was sentenced to 18 months in prison, three years of extended supervision, and 280 hours of community service. He was given credit for the 207 days he has already spent in jail.  He will also have to pay $28 of restitution to the pantry. He was picked up on a Department of Corrections warrant at his home last August, but police later talked to him about a burglary that occurred at the pantry the previous day. Deputy Police Chief Jeremy Rasch says after hours’ video surveillance from the pantry was used to identify him.
