Wautoma Man Sentenced For Tax Evasion

The state’s Department of Revenue says a 31-year-old Wautoma man was sentenced to a year in jail and six years of probation for tax evasion. Ronald Vallery Jr. was also ordered to pay restitution to the state of close to $12,000.  According to the criminal complaint and court transcripts, Vallery Jr. was engaging in illegal drug activity in Waupaca and Waushara counties from 2013 to 2015 which resulted in nearly $178,000 of unreported income for those years.  Not reporting this income allowed Vallery Jr. to receive $11,806 in fraudulent refunds.
