Weather Spotter Training Offered

Fond du Lac County Communications and Emergency Management will be sponsoring a Severe Weather Safety and Spotter Training Class next Thursday. It will be held in the legislative chambers of the City-County Government Center in Fond du Lac beginning at 6:30 p.m.  County Emergency Management Director Bobbi Hicken says National Weather Service Meteorologist Tim Halbach, of the Milwaukee/Sullivan Office, will be teaching the class. She says the first hour will be on Severe Weather Safety. The second hour will be on Storm Spotter Training. She says they teach spotters how to remain safe in a storm and how to report weather. She says the training is completely voluntary. The training is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is not required.
