Welfare Reform Still a Priority for Grothman

Congressman
Glenn Grothman was hoping the House would take up welfare reform this year, but
that didn’t happen. Despite that, it is still a priority for Grothman. He says
he has heard from representatives of both Donald Trump and Paul Ryan that they
intend to take it up next year. Grothman is hoping that means welfare reform
will be taken up in the next three to four months. Negotiations didn’t work out
with the Senate this year, and Grothman says it will be more difficult to push
the issue through now that Roy Moore lost his Senate race in Alabama. He fears
some won’t take the stance they should on welfare reform as they get closer to
another election.
