Winter Weather Leads To Multiple Accidents In FDL County

Drivers should slow down as bitterly cold temperatures will continue to make road conditions slick. According to Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s logs from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. yesterday deputies handled 20 traffic accidents, 18 runoffs and 5 calls for motorist assists. Among the more serious accidents a vehicle went off Highway 45 at 11:42 a.m. and hit a fence and a tree and an accident on Highway 41 at Highway 151 just before 1:30 yesterday afternoon backed up traffic. There were several accidents in the City of Fond du Lac as well including a collision at 11th and Marr yesterday morning and a three vehicle accident at Pioneer and Johnson yesterday afternoon.
