Wisconsin Aims to Attract Veterans

Wisconsin is launching a national campaign aimed at bringing military personnel and their families to the state once they leave the service. The $1.9 million dollar initiative also sends Wisconsin delegates to military bases around the country to highlight the state’s career opportunities and quality of life to veterans making the transition to civilian life. Delegates will stop at Camp Pendleton in California this month, with other stops planned in Washington, North Carolina, Hawaii, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Germany, and Japan. State officials say an estimated 200,000 to 250,000 members of the military leave the service every year.
