Wisconsin Unemployment Stays at Record Low

The unemployment rate in Wisconsin held steady at 2.9% last month. It was the second consecutive month holding the record low rate. The prior low was 3% in May, June, and July of 1999. Preliminary numbers from the Department of Workforce Development also show the labor force reaching an all-time high, with the addition of 8,900 private sector jobs and 2,100 manufacturing jobs last month.
