Wrong-Way Driver, Two Cases Of Vandalism Kick Off Holiday Wknd

FDL Police arrested a 47-year old male early Friday morning for operating a vehicle while under the influence. At about 12:36 a.m. Friday morning, officers observed a vehicle driving the wrong way in a construction area near Marr and Merrill in downtown Fond du Lac. The male driver of the vehicle was cited for a first offense OWI, and released.


Police are also investigating a case of what appears to be vandalism at South Hills Golf and Country Club. Officers were called just after 5:00 a.m. by the Maintenance staff, who reported two maintenance vehicles were located in the creek that runs through the property, with one of the vehicles upside down. Police did find a pair of shoes near the vehicles, but no further information was available as of this morning.


A case of equipment being spray painted in Bellevue Park results in 5 juveniles being caught. The park is located on Southgate Dr. in FDL, and equipment in the park was painted with red and blue spray paint. The five ranged in age from 8-12, and are now being referred to a FDL Police Department SRO.
