#1 Ranked SPASH Tops Fondy Boys

The Fond du Lac
boys basketball team went toe to toe with the state’s #1 ranked team for a half
before falling to Stevens Point 76-44 in the Sentry Classic at UW-Stevens Point
on Monday night.  The Cardinals led SPASH
10-8 after the first quarter and trailed 27-23 at the half.  Stevens
Point
junior Trevor Anderson scored 11 of his game
high 23 points in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half to balloon the
Panther lead to 41-27.   Freshman Joey
Hauser added 20 and junior Sam Hauser added 19 for SPASH.   Anderson and Sam Hauser are ranked as the
top 2 junior basketball players in the state of Wisconsin
Brian Luteyn led Fondy with 13. 
Sam Fredrickson added 11.  Caleb
Goldstein also scored 8 points late in the 4th quarter to finish
with 13.   Fredrickson was named to the
All-Tournament Team. The Cardinals (2-6) will jump back into FVA play on
January 6th when they travel to Kaukauna.  That’s a game you’ll hear on News-Talk 1450
