Back To Back State Titles For Ledgers

The St. Mary’s Springs
Academy football team won their 2nd
straight WIAA Division Six State Football Championship with a 39-20 win over
Darlington on Thursday afternoon at Madison’s
Camp Randall Stadium.  Sophomore Clay
Schueffner ran for 233 yards and a pair of touchdowns while junior Fintan Floyd
carried the ball 28 times for 184 yards and three TDs as the Ledger pounded out
430 yards on the ground in the win.  QB
Blake Bauer also ran for a TD in the Springs victory.  The Ledgers have won six WIAA state football
championships to go along with their 8 WISAA crowns to make it 14 total titles
in school history.
